Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: October 2026 | HomeLift Elevator & Escalator Spare Parts Specialist
1. Scope of Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern all commercial transactions, quotations, purchases, supply contracts, and deliveries between HomeLift (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and any purchaser, elevator service contractor, facility owner, or technical client (“the Buyer”, “Customer”, or “you”).
By placing an order via our website, telephone hotline (0756760704), WhatsApp engineering desk, formal Purchase Order, or direct invoice confirmation, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.
2. Elevator Safety & Installation Disclaimer
Mandatory Safety Notice: Licensed Installation Only
Elevators, escalators, and moving walkways are safety-critical passenger transportation systems. All spare parts, electrical controllers, traction cables, safety gears, and door interlocks must be installed, configured, wired, and tested exclusively by licensed, competent elevator engineering professionals in accordance with international safety codes (EN 81 / ASME A17.1).
HomeLift acts solely as an authorized engineering distributor of components and does not perform uncertified installation work. The Customer warrants that any components purchased will be installed in strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and recognized safety standards.
3. Quotations, Pricing & Validity
All prices quoted on the website and pro-forma quotations are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) or United States Dollars (USD) as expressly specified. Because elevator components are internationally manufactured and imported, quotations are valid for fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise, subject to international currency exchange fluctuations.
We reserve the right to correct typographical or system pricing errors prior to dispatch upon immediate notification to the Buyer.
4. Technical Specifications & Buyer Responsibility
While our technical engineering desk assists with component identification, board cross-referencing, and schematic matching, the Buyer remains ultimately responsible for confirming that the ordered component matches the elevator model, operating voltage (e.g. 220V AC, 110V DC), frequency (50Hz), PCB firmware revision, and physical dimensions before installation.
Components modified, soldered, or customized by the Buyer forfeit standard manufacturer return eligibility.
5. Orders, Island-Wide Dispatch & Risk of Transit
Orders are dispatched from our Logistics Center at 29/8A, Maradana, Beruwala upon receipt of verified payment or confirmed corporate Purchase Order. Delivery timelines:
- Western & Southern Provinces: Same-day dispatch for orders confirmed prior to 2:00 PM. Emergency delivery available for trapped lifts or critical shutdowns.
- Island-Wide Outstations: Standard 24 to 48 hour delivery via registered commercial courier services.
Risk of loss or damage passes to the Buyer upon delivery handover by the courier carrier. The Buyer must inspect all goods upon receipt and report any transit damage or carton breach within forty-eight (48) hours.
6. Warranty Coverage & Exclusions
Warranty Exclusions:
Warranty does not cover damages arising from lightning strikes, power surges, phase imbalance, water ingress, improper wiring by unqualified personnel, mechanical overload beyond rated capacity, or improper lubrication.
All brand new electronic elevator components (inverters, integrated control boards, encoder cards, door drives) carry a twelve (12) month limited manufacturer defect warranty from the date of delivery. Mechanical assemblies carry standard structural warranties against manufacturing defects.
7. Returns, Exchanges & Restocking
Unused, unopened components in their original factory tamper-evident packaging may be returned for exchange or store credit within fourteen (14) days of delivery, subject to a standard 10% inspection and restocking fee. Custom-programmed microcontrollers, specialized imported obsolete parts, and cut-to-length steel wire ropes are non-returnable.
All returns must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by our support desk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HomeLift’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to any order shall in no event exceed the total amount paid by the Buyer for the specific component giving rise to the claim. Under no circumstances shall HomeLift be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of building revenue, tenant disruption, or elevator downtime losses.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising thereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Sri Lanka.
